Why Dasha is the heart of prediction
Two people can share almost identical birth charts and live completely different years. The reason is Dasha. The planetary period that is running decides which part of the chart is awake and active, and therefore what results show up and when.
Reading the Dasha well is the difference between vague prediction and precise timing. Acharya Devraj Ji combines your Mahadasha and Antardasha with current transits and the KP significators to tell you not just what may happen, but when.
Mahadasha FAQs
What is Vimshottari Dasha?+
Vimshottari Dasha is the most widely used timing system in Vedic astrology. It divides life into nine planetary periods, called Mahadashas, totalling 120 years. The sequence and starting point are fixed by the Moon nakshatra at birth.
How is my current Dasha decided?+
The nakshatra your Moon occupies at birth sets the first Mahadasha lord and how much of it remains. From there the periods follow a fixed order: Ketu, Venus, Sun, Moon, Mars, Rahu, Jupiter, Saturn, and Mercury.
What is an Antardasha?+
Each Mahadasha is subdivided into nine Antardashas, or sub-periods, ruled by each planet in turn. The Mahadasha sets the broad theme and the Antardasha colours the specific results you experience month to month.
Does a malefic Dasha mean a bad period?+
Not at all. A planet gives results according to its strength and placement in your chart, not its general reputation. A well-placed Saturn or Rahu Dasha can be among the best periods of your life.
